Induction for New Non Judicial Staff

More than 85 new non-judicial staff were on Wednesday November 10, 2021 taken through an induction exercise to enable them efficiently execute their tasks in the Judiciary.

The induction exercise which was organized by the Human Resource Management Department was held at the Judicial Training Institute in Nakawa.

The Under Secretary, Ms Maureen Kasande  made a presentation on the Mandate, structure and composition of the Judiciary and advised the participants to always strive for professionalism in all they do because it is one of Judiciary's core values.

The Registrar Judicial Training Institute, HW Mary Kaitesi, emphasized to the participants that the training was meant to equipthem with knowledge and skills to improve the operations in courts for improvedservice delivery.

She urged the HR department to always ensure thatnew staff are inducted and given their schedule of duties before being sent totheir duty stations.

The Commissioner Human Resource, Mrs.  Apophia Tumwine, urged the participants to work hard and observe the Judiciary ethical code of conduct.

Among the topics that the new staff were taken through were; terms and  conditions of service,  communication in the service and customer care.

The participants equally shared their experiences and concerns such as streamlining of duties, rude supervisors with some practicing nepotism.
They went on to thank the organizers of the training and pledged to implement lessons learnt.
